AfterRyselist vs. doing it yourself, line by line.
| What matters | Doing it yourself | |
|---|---|---|
| Time per listing | Film one walkthrough, send it, pack back the same day. | Evenings of editing, or waiting days for a photographer slot. |
| Who does the work | You film. We do the editing, plan, copy and checks. | You prepare and publish the whole listing between viewings. |
| Photo quality | Relit, straightened, decluttered. Capped only by your footage quality. | Free apps lift shadows, bend walls and blow out windows. |
| Consistency across a set | One standard for every agent and every listing. | Changes with your mood, your light and your app. |
| Floor plan | 3D floor plan built from your supplied 2D plan. | Ordered separately, or skipped and the listing looks thin. |
| Listing copy | Title and description prepared for Bayut and Property Finder. | Written late at night, or copied from the last one. |
| Portal readiness | Pack arrives ready to upload to the portals. | You resize, rename and reorder every file yourself. |
| Revisions | Unlimited revisions until the set is right. | Redo it yourself, or pay the photographer again. |
| Cost | Monthly plan sized to volume, or one listing alone. First month half price. | Your own hours, plus a shoot day when you give in. |
| Risk, what can go wrong | We correct, we do not invent. Nothing added or removed. | Late listing, warped walls, and an owner who notices. |
DEWA is off and the flat is dark
You get the keys, the unit is empty and DEWA is off. Your phone fights the light, so the photos come out yellow and grey. On your laptop you lift the shadows and the walls turn blue. With Ryselist you film one slow walkthrough in whatever light there is, send it on WhatsApp, and get relit photos back the same day. We correct what the camera missed. We do not add rooms, windows or views.
The first good listing wins the lead
In Dubai the same unit can sit on Bayut under several agents. The one with clean photos and a clear title gets the click. If you edit at night after viewings, the listing goes live days late. Ryselist works on a twenty-four hour clock from upload, so you can film on the way out of a viewing and publish the next morning. Doing it yourself quietly costs you the days you cannot get back.
One walk, everything you need later
Handover and snagging may give you one short slot inside the unit while the developer waits. Film one slow horizontal pass through each room and send it. We pick the frames, fix the verticals and clutter, and build the pack. If you have a 2D plan, we also turn it into a 3D plan.
Your landlord judges you by the listing
The owner may open Property Finder and send the listing to family. Grainy phone shots can make the work look rushed. A clean set looks more professional. When agents edit their own photos, the look can change with the light and the person doing the work. Ryselist uses one standard across the agency and includes unlimited revisions.
What agents got back.

The job, split two ways
doing it yourself
- Book a photographer, or clear an evening for yourself
- Wait for DEWA so the rooms are not dark
- Shoot every room twice and hope one frame works
- Edit each photo in a free app
- Straighten the crooked walls by eye
- Write the title and description from scratch
- Resize, rename and order the files for the portal
- Chase a floor plan from somewhere else
- Do it all again when the owner asks for changes
With Ryselist
- Film one slow walkthrough on your phone
- Send it on WhatsApp, or upload it
- Review the pack and publish
When doing it yourself is the right call
Doing it yourself is fine sometimes. If you list one property a year, the light is good and you have a free afternoon, your phone and a free app will do the job. Same if the unit is furnished, bright and already tidy. It stops working when listings stack up, when DEWA is off, and when every listing has to look the same.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a camera or a gimbal?+
No. A phone is enough. Film one slow horizontal walk through the property, room by room, and keep moving steadily. If you already have photos, send those instead. Results are capped by the quality of what you send, so slow and steady beats fast and shaky.
How long does it take?+
The 24-hour clock starts when the upload finishes. Film as you leave a viewing and send the file. You do not need to book a photographer or match another diary.
Will the photos still be honest?+
Yes. We correct the images without adding or removing rooms, walls, windows or views. The flat should match what the buyer saw in the listing.
What about the floor plan?+
Send us the 2D plan and we build a 3D floor plan from it. We do not guess a plan that does not exist, so if there is no 2D plan, there is no 3D one.
What does it cost?+
A monthly plan sized to your volume, or a single listing on its own if you only need one. First month is half price. It works out around ten times cheaper than a shoot, and you keep the day the shoot would have taken.
Try it on one property
Film one slow walkthrough of your next listing and send it over. You will see the full pack back the same day, and you can judge it against whatever you would have done yourself.
