1. Good footage gives the best result
Your listing is built from the videos or photos and instructions you send. We can improve light, colour, straightness and small distracting details, but the footage limits what we can reproduce accurately. Follow the filming guide for the best result.
Film horizontally where possible. Use a wide view, hold the phone steady, move slowly and cover every room. Film in daylight with lights on where available. Send the original-quality files. Tell us the required treatment, including whether the property should look furnished or unfurnished, before we start.
We can accept vertical footage too. It needs more manual work, uses double listing credits and may produce less accurate results, especially if it is poorly filmed. Section 7 explains this. A 3D floor-plan view requires your supplied 2D plan.
2. Blurry or shaky footage
When the phone moves too fast or shakes, fine detail may not be recorded clearly. Marble veins, wood grain, tile joints, fabric and small fittings can then differ from the real property in the finished image. Slow, steady filming reduces this risk; it does not guarantee an exact result from every clip. Review details before publishing and tell us if a correction is needed.
3. Windows that are blown out
If a window is a white glow in your video, the view outside was not recorded. That happens when the room is dark and the phone exposes for the room, or when the video is low quality. We can balance the brightness so the room looks right, but we cannot invent the exact view, the neighbouring buildings or the sea line that the camera did not capture. Film in daylight, lights on, and let the phone settle on the window for a second.
4. Dark rooms and colour
In dark footage the true colour of walls, floors and joinery is not there — a warm oak floor can read as grey. We relight and correct as far as the footage allows, but colours in a dark room may end up close to, not identical to, the real material. Turn on every light and open every curtain before you film.
5. Original files and compression
Compressed chat videos, screen recordings and low-resolution files can lose detail. Switches, handles, skirting and tile edges may be harder to reproduce accurately. Film at the highest quality your phone supports, preferably 4K, and keep the original file.
You can start and manage the listing on WhatsApp. Send the footage as an original-quality file or use the upload link we provide, rather than a compressed video message. You can send several clips. Confirm when all footage has been sent so we know the listing is ready to process.
6. Panning and moving at the same time
Walking while you turn the phone stretches the room in the footage. Straight lines bend, and depth becomes hard to read. We straighten what we can, but a wall or opening may end up a little off its true angle, and a detail that only appeared during a fast sweep may be simplified. Stand still to pan; walk with the phone pointing straight ahead.
7. Vertical videos are accepted at double credits
We can process vertical videos. They cannot be processed in the same way as horizontal footage and require more human intervention. A vertical-video listing therefore uses double the standard listing credits.
Vertical framing captures less of a room from side to side. Depending on the filming technique, the finished photos may be less accurate or less complete than photos made from a well-filmed horizontal walkthrough. Fast movement, poor light or incomplete coverage increases that risk. Extra manual work does not guarantee that missing detail can be recovered.
For the best result, follow the filming guide and send a horizontal walkthrough. If you only have vertical footage, keep it steady, show the full room across several clear views and review the finished images carefully. We may need replacement footage where the source cannot support a reliable result.
8. Photos you send instead of video
The same rules apply to photos. Blurry, dark, over-exposed or heavily compressed photos limit what we can recover. Photos taken with a wide lens, in daylight, with the lights on, from the corners of the room, give the best result.
9. Accuracy and changes to the property
Weak footage can lead to differences in textures, colours, small fittings and perspective. We cannot recover an exact view that was not captured or reliably show a room that was not filmed. Check the final images against the real property before publishing.
Ordinary retouching should represent the actual property. Requested virtual furnishing, removal of furniture or renovation illustrations are separate treatments that must follow the agreed brief. Do not present a proposed alteration as an existing feature. Correct or reject an image if it adds, removes or changes a material property feature inaccurately.
10. Small revisions and new listing instructions
Small changes that improve a delivered image within the original brief are included revisions. Examples are removing a small item from a wall or fixing an incorrect generated detail. Tell us on WhatsApp or in the portal which image and detail need attention. Included revisions are free and unlimited in rounds.
New generation instructions after completion count as a new listing. For example, asking us to make the whole property unfurnished after receiving a furnished listing is a new listing if that instruction was not part of the original brief. If we failed to follow an instruction you gave before production, correcting that failure is an included revision.
If the footage cannot support a reliable correction, we will explain what needs to be filmed again. Follow the filming guide before sending your footage. Our 24-hour delivery clock for paid listings starts after we receive the full footage and you confirm that you have sent all of it. See the Terms of Service for the delivery and credit rules.
